At Children’s Response Center, we are committed to being a leader in community efforts to end the sexual assault of children.
Our services
In order to increase awareness and foster skill-building among community members we offer the following educational opportunities:
- Professional training on topics related to sexual assault for community providers working with children and families.
- Presentations for the community to increase awareness of issues related to child sexual assault and to offer tools for prevention at the community level.
- Technical assistance for professionals and community members who wish to enhance their skills in addressing and preventing the sexual victimization of children.
- Specialized workshops:
- KidSAFE training for Mandated Reporters (STARS approved)
- Keep Kids Safe and My Body is Mine workshops for parents and caregivers
- Sexual Assault and Teens for high school students
- Internet Safety
- Organizational Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse for administrators and staff
- Other individualized workshops related to prevention of child victimization. The workshop or presentation can be tailored to meet your needs.
- Participation in Community Fairs: Information for parents and activities for kids by representatives of Children’s Response Center
Children’s Response Center also supports community initiatives to prevent sexual violence. If your community or organization would like technical assistance in carrying out a prevention initiative, do not hesitate to contact our Prevention & Education Coordinator.
