Ways To Get Educated

What can we do to prevent child sexual assault?

Tips for community groups and organizations:
Raise Awareness,
Build prevention skills,
Create a safer community!

  • Get educated! Invite a Children’s Response Center educator to speak to your group
  • Learn how adults can identify and respond to child sexual assault
  • Learn about grooming and red-flag behaviors
  • Write an article about a related topic for your newsletter
  • Place brochures or posters in areas people frequent
  • Plan an activity or awareness campaign for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April)
  • Post web-links to informative sites onto your website
  • Talk, talk, talk about the issue with fellow community members!
  • Host a Keep Kids Safe workshop where parents and kids can learn safety skills together
  • Review your organizational policies to enhance hiring, supervision and other practices that affect child safety

If you or your group would like to take a step toward preventing child sexual assault, we’re here to help!
